Steep Holm
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Steep Holm is an English island lying in the Bristol Channel. Administratively it is part of North Somerset unitary authority. The island serves as a wind and wave break, sheltering the upper reaches of the Bristol Channel. The island is uninhabited and protected as a nature reserve and Site of Special Scientific Intrest (SSSI). Nearby is the fortified Flat Holm island, part of Wales.
