Higashikagawa, Kagawa

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 36,988 and a population density of 241.45 persons per km². The total area is 153.19 km².
The city was founded on April 1, 2003 and is the merger of three towns from the eastern part of the former Okawa District: Hiketa, Shirotori, and Ohchi. Okawa District was dissolved with the formation of Higashikagawa.
